Where: Parts of the BC interior including: Similkameen, Nicola, South Thompson, Fraser Canyon, Chilcotin, Lakes District, Stuart-Nechako, Prince George and Yellowhead. The Coquihalla Highway, Highway 3 - Hope to Princeton Highway and Yellowhead Highway will also be affected.

A strong Pacific frontal system will move through the interior tonight. Strong southwesterly winds gusting up to 90 km/h are expected, particularly in sections susceptible to strong cross winds.

Driving conditions will likely be difficult. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind.

Snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected.

When:
Today through tonight

Where:
Trans-Canada Highway mainly near Rogers Pass

Additional information:
A strong Pacific frontal system will bring heavy snow and wind to Rogers Pass. The snow is expected to intensify this afternoon and will taper off overnight. Snowfall totals will range from 20-30 cm by early Tuesday morning. In addition, wind gusts of up to 60 km/h are expected overnight which could bring blowing snow.
