Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

When:
Now till later Saturday morning.

Where:
Highway 1 from Sicamous to Revelstoke.

Additional information:
A frontal system combined with colder temperatures is bringing snow to West Columbia and eastern sections of Shuswap beginning today and easing overnight. Another band of moisture will bring a period of snow Saturday morning, with snow becoming mixed with rain by Saturday afternoon.

Most of the snow will be focused around Malakwa and Sicamous with accumulations possibly reaching 20 cm by Saturday morning. Up to 10 cm is expected for Revelstoke.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

A moist frontal system will bring continuous snow to the Coquihalla Summit starting later this evening and easing late Saturday night. Snowfall totals could reach 30-40 cm by that time: with a possibility of 15 cm tonight, 10-15 cm tomorrow, and another 5-10 cm expected before the snow eases Saturday night.

Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be reduced at times.
