Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

When: Today

Where: Southern Cariboo region including Williams Lake, 100 Mile House including Highway 97, North and South Thompson, including Highway 5, Shuswap including Highway 1, North Okanagan including Highway 97 and Central Okanagan, over higher terrain.

Amounts: 10 to 15 cm.

Additional Info: A Pacific frontal system is pushing into the BC interior. Snow has begun and will continue throughout the day today, before tapering off overnight. There is also the potential for some freezing rain mixed with the snow at times for the Southern Cariboo and 100 Mile regions.

Be prepared for hazardous driving conditions and slippery surfaces.

Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Prepare for possible disruptions to transportation, services, and utilities.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to snowfall accumulations.
