A frontal system will continue to give snow to Coquihalla summit and Allison Pass today. Approximately 30 cm has already fallen with an additional 10 to 15 cm expected today for the Coquihalla before the snow eases tonight.
Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility will likely be reduced at times.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
Allow extra time for travel. If driving, turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance. The site https://shiftintowinter.ca/ reminds drivers to know before you go. Adjust to winter driving behaviour and use winter tires and chains.
