The Coquihalla Highway, Highway 3 - Hope to Princeton Highway and Yellowhead Highway will also be affected.

A strong Pacific frontal system will move through the interior tonight. Strong southwesterly winds gusting up to 90 km/h are expected, particularly in sections susceptible to strong cross winds.

Driving conditions will likely be difficult. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind.

Snowfall Warning in effect for:
  • Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass
Snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected.

When:
Tonight through early Tuesday morning.

Where:
Trans-Canada Highway mainly near Rogers Pass

Additional information:
A strong Pacific frontal system is bringing heavy snow and wind to Rogers Pass. The snow is expected to taper off early Tuesday morning with snowfall totals ranging from 20-30 cm. In addition, wind gusts of up to 60 km/h are expected overnight which could bring blowing snow.

Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be reduced at times.
