Snowfall Warning in effect for:- Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt
A long period of heavy snowfall continues.
What:
Today: 20 to 30 cm
Saturday: 10 to 15 cm
When:
A series of low pressure systems will bring rounds of precipitation today and Saturday.
Where:
- Coquihalla Highway (Near Coquihalla Summit)
Additional information:
A series of low pressure systems will then make its way through the B.C. interior today and Saturday. The Coquihalla summit will receive another 20 -30 cm today and possible accumulation of 10-15 cm on Saturday. There is some uncertainty on the snowfall accumulation into the weekend.
Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be reduced at times. Road closures are possible.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
