Snowfall Warning in effect for:- Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass
What:
Snowfall accumulations of 20 to 40 cm.
When:
Now through tonight.
Where:
Trans-Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.
Remarks:
A moist Pacific frontal system moving across the interior will bring heavy precipitation to the Columbias. Heavy snow will continue near the pass today through tonight. As snow levels rise this afternoon, snow may change to rain along portions of Highway 1. Total snowfall accumulations of 20 to 40 cm are expected near the pass by early Thursday morning.
Roads and walkways may be very difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be reduced at times.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
