Special Weather Statement in effect for:- Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass
Highway snow expected this weekend.
Where: High elevation passes, particularly Rogers Pass.
When: Beginning Saturday evening to early Sunday morning.
What: A cold front moving through the interior of British Columbia will drop temperatures Saturday night. This is combined with moisture aloft and likely to result in snow over the high elevation highway passes.
Amount: Accumulations are expected to be around 5cm in this storm. Snowfall amounts are variable.
Hazards: Snow may rapidly accumulate on roads and visibilities may be greatly reduced, leading to difficult travel conditions.
