Snowfall Warning in effect for:- Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt
A long period of heavy snowfall continues.
What:
Today: 5 to 10 cm
Tonight: 10 to 20 cm
Monday: 5 to 15 cm
When:
A series of low pressure systems will continue to bring precipitation lasting until Monday night.
Where:
Coquihalla Highway (Near Coquihalla Summit)
Additional information:
A series of low pressure systems will move through the B.C. Interior over the next couple of days. An additional 5 to 10 cm is forecast for today, followed by up to 20 cm tonight.
The snow is expected to taper off on Monday morning with accumulations of around 5 cm during the day. However, there could be another burst of snow on Monday night with accumulations of 10 to 15 cm.
Windy conditions are also expected, with periods of reduced visibility in blowing snow.
Visibility will likely be reduced at times. Road closures are possible.
